Founded in 2013, HELT is the creation of two brothers, Hans and Alex Loewen. Both immigrated to Canada from the industrial powerhouse of Northwestern Germany with a dream and the technical know how to introduce new concepts in European Style Entrance Systems.
The sons of a Master Craftsman in woodwork and fine furniture, they were imbued with their father’s skills, high standards and strong work ethic. Add to that degrees in engineering and computer science and the groundwork was set to meet the challenges of a successful entrepreneurial pursuit.
2022
In 2022, Hans and Alex teamed up with Bill Sodomsky, a seasoned entrepreneur who founded two very successful enterprises over 30 years. Bill’s entrepreneurial roots were derived from his grandfather who founded the family construction business in 1928. Bill worked each summer from the age of 12 through to graduating from university in the family business primarily on numerous construction projects. With degrees in finance and history he began his own entrepreneurial journey ultimately specializing in project management and business development.
Today, the Hans, Alex and Bill threesome are poised to make HELT a household name and one of North America’s preeminent designers, engineers, and fabricators of Integrated European Style entrance doors, windows, curtain walls and specialized hardware systems.
