Founded in 2013, HELT is the creation of two brothers, Hans and Alex Loewen. Both immigrated to Canada from the industrial powerhouse of Northwestern Germany with a dream and the technical know how to introduce new concepts in European Style Entrance Systems.
The sons of a Master Craftsman in woodwork and fine furniture, they were imbued with their father’s skills, high standards and strong work ethic. Add to that degrees in engineering and computer science and the groundwork was set to meet the challenges of a successful entrepreneurial pursuit.
2022
In 2022, HELT expanded its leadership — adding expertise in project management, business development, and construction. That background spans decades of entrepreneurial experience, with roots in the construction industry dating back to 1928. Finance, history, and hands-on project execution joined HELT's existing foundation in engineering and design.
Today, HELT designs, engineers, and fabricates integrated European-style entrance systems across Canada — entrance doors, windows, curtain walls, and specialized hardware, built to the standards of the architecture they serve.
