1. Did you know that a 3 person household can collect up to 10 Litres of humidity. To remove humidity it’s recommended to air out your home at least 3 times per day. You should ventilate your bedroom right after waking up in the morning. This will help remove humidity that has collected over night in your air, furniture and walls. Also don’t forget to ventilate after a shower, bath, cooking or washing your floors.
2. Keep your doors to cooler rooms like your basement closed. This way you avoid warm and humid air from settling down on cold walls and windows and creating mildew.
3. The most effective way to air out your home is to open windows on opposing ends of your house to create a draft and let the air move easily through your entire home. In the winter time 5 minutes three times a day is enough.
